With this psalm we ask God for his gracious help in the hope that our world will soon live in peace.

Psalm 141:1

Lord, I call to you, listen to my voice when I cry out to you.

Let my prayer rise like incense before you, my hopes and longings.

Let my prayer rise before you like incense, my mourning and lamentations.

Let my prayer rise before you like incense, my doubts and my failures.

Let my prayer rise before you like incense, my efforts and questions.

Let my prayer rise before you like incense, my being and my becoming.

Let my prayer rise before you like incense, my confidence and my trust.

Let my prayer rise before you like incense, into your hands I place time and space, past and future, my whole life.

Lord, hear my voice and come to help me.
