Annuntiate in omnibus populis mirabilia ejus 

et memoramini populi tui hic in Terra Sancta et da nobis pacem.

On the occasion of the Solemnity of our Blessed Virgin Mary, the principal patroness of the Diocese of Jerusalem, we honor the Daughter of Zion, the Daughter of the Holy Land, and we celebrate the lady “dressed in the sun” who lived here in the glory of God's grace from her Annunciation until her Assumption into Heaven.

At the feet of our Blessed Mother, we humbly ask for her intercession to help us overcome all the difficulties we have to face in this Holy Land, for it is the land that our Savior has made holy, where he took flesh and led the entire world to redemption.

We ask for the gift of the Holy Spirit to give us the strength and perseverance to create a relationship of dignity and peace with each other, to build the Kingdom of God, which is a kingdom of “righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit” (Romans 14:17)
