In warm solidarity with our Benedictine brothers, we the Sisters of
St. Charles were able to celebrate the patronal feast of our Congregation on
November 4th. We thank the monks of Zion for accepting our invitation, for
allowing us to celebrate the festive Eucharist with them and the Abbot Father
Nikodemus in our chapel, and for allowing us to end the morning with a shared
lunch with them and the teachers of our kindergarten. As in previous years,
this time too we had the joy of having Sister Thoma and Sister Klara from
Emmaus in our midst.
St. Charles, who knew that Jesus Christ had taken him entirely into
his service, becomes a role model for us humans in this time of little hope -
he cares for their needs, is close to them, he sets out with them and thus
renews religious life through his inspiring example.
May Saint Charles be the intercessor of us all at the throne of
God, so that we too can recognise the needs of the times and make Christ
visible through our lives and in our everyday lives.
