A visit full of hope!

On January 22nd, we had the honor of welcoming the participants of the 24th International Bishops' Meeting of the "Holy Land Coordination" to St. Charles on the occasion of their pilgrimage through the Holy Land. During their tour, they had chosen our house for a meeting lasting several hours. Germany was represented among the members from seven nations by the Archbishop of Paderborn, Dr. Udo Markus Bentz.
By visiting the holy sites and the services celebrated there and by exchanging views with the Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem, Cardinal Pizzaballa, and the German Ambassador Steffen Seibert, as well as with representatives of church institutions and aid organizations, the bishops wanted to express their solidarity with all those so severely affected by the armed conflicts and send an appeal for peace and reconciliation across all borders.
We would like to thank all participants very much for their visit and ask for God's blessing and many encouraging encounters for them during the rest of their journey.
